Excellence in Nursing Education
The Excellence in Nursing Education Award recognizes a Registered Nurse from Boone Hospital Center who excels in creating a learning environment with teaching, mentoring, or precepting skills within the clinical or classroom environment. Two recipients will be chosen for this award annually.
As the most prestigious nursing award, the Excellence in Professional Nursing Award recognizes a Registered Nurse employed by Boone Hospital Center who excels in the art and practice of nursing. Three recipients will be chosen for this award annually.
The Nursing Spirit Award recognizes a Registered Nurse employed by Boone Hospital Center who demonstrates outstanding spirit and a positive attitude towards the practice of nursing. Two recipients will be chosen for this award annually.
The Year One Wonder Award recognizes a Registered Nurse from BHC who has graduated from nursing school within the past year. This nurse has been on the BHC team for more than 90 days and has successfully completed their probationary period. This nurse shows promise to become an exceptional member of the nursing staff. Two recipients will be chosen for this award annually.
Boone Hospital Center recognizes that quality patient care is only made possible by the support of many different health care professionals working together. Three recipients will be chosen for this award annually. The Partner in Caring Award recognizes any care team member at BHC, other than a Registered Nurse, who displays the following characteristics:
Transformational Leadership in Nursing
- Goes beyond expectation in supporting excellent patient care
- Exhibits positive work place behavior, teamwork, and attitude
- Provides exceptional technical skills, information, and support services
- Communicates in an open, courteous, and respectful manner
- Demonstrates exceptional level of compassion and caring toward patients and families
- Demonstrates excellence in their work
The Transformational Leader in Nursing Award recognizes a nursing leader (i.e., director, manager, or supervisor) from our organization who leads by example and is a champion for change and innovation at Boone Hospital Center. One recipient will be chosen for this award annually.
