Adults should participate in regular exercise to improve balance and strength. One useful activity is tai chi, which is designed to increase flexibility, improve posture, and strength. The control of movements, (slow, smooth, and continuous) is a key element that makes tai chi effective in improving balance and coordination. The teaching method breaks down movement into individual parts and focuses on weight transference. The class works to bring confidence back into your step.
