“Australians are very social people,” says Environmental Services Lead Tech Nancy Ford-Miller. Whether it’s due to Nancy’s nationality, her personality or both, it’s impossible to miss her outgoing, positive nature and willingness to step up and help wherever needed, which is why several employees in Boone Hospital’s Infusion and Treatment Center nominated Nancy to be our January 2020 Employee of the Month.
This fall, Boone Hospital employees had the opportunity to wear Kansas City Chiefs gear on weekends when the team had a home game. But they likely didn't know they had Senior Financial Analyst Cynthia Clough to thank for these team spirit weekends. Cynthia had suggested the idea to Human Resources, as well as other team spirit days for the Tigers, Cardinals, Royals and St. Louis Blues. But it's not just sports fans at Boone who rely on Cynthia – the whole organization depends on her every month.

In the early 2000s, when Kim Farris transitioned from a human resources generalist to a recruiter role at Columbia Regional Hospital, she was initially reluctant. She quickly came to enjoy being a recruiter, but she had no idea that someone else would try to recruit her, until Boone Hospital Center called.
The Pritikin ICR program came to Boone earlier this year and is approved by Medicare and many private insurance carriers. The program is based on three pillars that help participants embrace the keys to leading a healthy lifestyle: healthy eating, regular exercise and a healthy mindset.

Had he not been referred to the Wound Healing Center, there was a very real possibility that Donald would have required serious amputation. The Wound Healing Center has teamed up with national non-profit Save a Leg Save a Life Foundation to increase public awareness and avoid more unnecessary amputations.

While this can be a scary thought, Boone Hospital Center’s Harris Breast Center and Boone Medical Group’s High Risk Breast Clinic have teamed up to provide a plan for early detection, treatment and prevention of breast cancer.
“When I was little, and all the little girls were playing School and House, I was playing Office. I was the secretary,” says Boone Hospital Center executive assistant Stacey Roberts.
