Boone Hospital Infection Control Coordinators Wendy Castagno and Cassandra Mueller

Boone Hospital Center Infection Control Coordinators, Wendy Castagno, RN, and Cassandra Mueller, MSN, CIC, CNL, promote hand hygiene as an effective and easy method of infection prevention.

This year, International Infection Prevention Week is raising awareness about the important role we all play in preventing the spread of infection and promoting patient safety.

We can all take the first step in helping our IPs stop the spread of germs by practicing proper hand hygiene. After all: infection prevention is everybody’s business!

Join us in thanking our Infection Prevention Team at Boone Hospital Center for all they do to keep patients safe by protecting them from infection. Infection preventionists (IPs) are our hospital’s infection detectives, finding germs and ensuring our staff do their part to improve patient safety and care.
