For more than 32,000 patients each year, the Emergency Department serves as the front door to Boone Hospital Center. With sixteen emergency rooms, Boone treats many types of patients. 

In Fall 2010, the department was newly remodeled and expanded to add four new rooms, an additional triage room, a second nurses station and more than doubled the size of the waiting room.
