About Columbia, Missouri




Accessible from Interstate 70, halfway between St. Louis and Kansas City, Columbia is the heart of mid-Missouri. The city is home to the University of Missouri (Mizzou), Columbia College and Stephens College. It has won recognition for being a great place to live from Carnegie Foundation and Forbes.

The downtown area, called The District, is home to shops bars and restaurants. Each year, the city hosts cultural events, including the Roots, Blues and BBQ Festival and the True/False Film Festival. Over 100,000 people live, work and call Columbia, Missouri home.
