With a certified stroke team and the latest technology and treatments, Boone Hospital Center is central Missouri’s go-to hospital for life saving stroke care.

On Friday, June 18, the American Heart Association will recognize Boone Hospital’s excellence in stroke care with the Get With The Guidelines — Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award.

Boone Hospital earned this award by strictly complying with the American Heart Association’s stroke guidelines over the past two years. In addition to this award, Boone Hospital has also been honored as the only stroke center in mid-Missouri to earn the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers.

“Our stroke response is truly one of the services we are most proud of at Boone Hospital Center,” said Dan Rothery, Boone Hospital president. “This honor from the American Heart Association is another major recognition of our stroke team’s amazing success in helping patients in mid-Missouri.”

The American Heart Association will present the award to Boone Hospital at 1 p.m., June 18, in the Center for Advanced Medicine’s Cardiac Cath Lab lobby.
